Chloe Kalin
Most of us have heard the phrase, “You can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.” Easier said than done, though, right? Living dreams takes constant work and persistence, even if it means getting up at 5:30 every morning to begin an exercise regimen, photo shoot preparation, and interviews. Add college on top of all of that and you have a day in the life of Tri-C Veterinary Technology student Chloe Kalin. Kalin has high hopes for the future as she leads a double life as a student of veterinary sciences on the Western Campus and a professional model. Kalin’s modeling career began several years ago with local modeling agencies and catalogues. Her break came this year when a friend suggested she apply to the Miss Hawaiian Tropic® International Competition. “I had only competed in three local pageants prior to this. I found out when Miss Hawaiian Tropic® was having auditions and everything ran smoothly from there. I could not believe how fast everything went when I qualified. It was meant to be,” says Kalin, a native of Richfield and current North Royalton resident. According to the official Hawaiian Tropic® website, women from more than 50 nations travel to Oahu, Hawaii, for the competition each spring. It is one of the largest model searches in the world and the most extensive for Hawaiian Tropic® suncare products. Not only was Kalin selected, but she placed fourth out of 76 contestants –– an incredible feat for one of Tri-C’s most dedicated students, who says that people who dub models as vapid should take note and educate themselves before making assumptions. “I think that a lot of people believe that girls who model have nothing else going on in their lives, but many enter pageants to earn money for greater purposes like education. Modeling is art and pageants are built on personality and brains, as part of a whole package,” she says. Kalin will graduate with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in May. Needless to say, managing the two spheres of her life is a challenge, but Kalin devotes most of her time to the pursuit of her degree. “I could have never imagined how challenging the program is, but the instructors really believe in their students and will not let you down. The past couple semesters were the most challenging. After returning from Hawaii, I had several exams, a lot on my shoulders. But becoming a veterinarian has been a passion since I was younger and there is nothing that will stand between me and my goals. My first priority is graduating in May. I want to take life as it comes and be a well-rounded person.”

Misa Campo
Misa Campo was born on January 22 in the year 1988. Her birth place is Montreal, Canada. Misa moved to California’s Newport Beach to live with her father at the age of just two years. Misa grew up in a safe and comfortable environment surrounded by her relatives, in which she was encouraged to pursue her dreams. Misa Campo remained exclusively within the sunny vistas of Newport Beach until she was 10. After that she began to shuttle between California and Montreal.
By the time she was in her late teens, Misa Campo had moved permanently back to Montreal, where she managed to land a job as a bartender at the city’s exclusive Jet and System nightclubs. Misa’s bosses, impressed by her sunny personality and drop-dead gorgeous looks. They encouraged her to give the world of modeling a shot, and specifically pointed her towards Montreal’s annual performance racing auto show Sport Compact Performance. There, Misa impressed both patrons and executives and eventually walked away with the title of Miss Rocawear for 2006.
Misa’s burgeoning fame necessitated a move back to California, and it wasn’t long before she had managed to land a job as a bartender at a Los Angeles hot spot. She was also remaining active in the modeling scene, and, in addition to her duties as the face of Rocawear for Canada, Misa Campo soon became a regular fixture within the pages of renowned magazines. Misa’s big break came when she was featured as one of Maxim magazine’s “Show Us Something” girls in September of 2006, and she was also named an IGN DVD Babe of the Day in 2007.
